Hello, I'm looking for a free or cheap way to get an owners manual to a 2006 Audi A4 Quattro. PDF is fine, but paying $150 for a new one from the publisher is crazy.

If you have the car, and it came without the owner's manual, check the owner's manual cubby. Reach underneath the steering wheel. There's a cubby hole that is designed for the owner's manual. It's below the steering wheel adjustment lever, above the position of the brake pedal. It's really hard to find a free PDF. Cheers.

They really are not that expensive to maintain if done properly. You should check in the owner's manual there should be a booklet for Maintenance. In that book there are spots where shops/dealerships will stamp or sign off on completing the preventative and recommended maintenance on the vehicle. If it has been maintained properly so far then you are in good shape. You can expect oil changes to be around $80-$100 (every 10k miles) and more detailed preventative maintenance stops to run $200-$300 (every 20-30k miles). Tires on the SLine will run about $800-$1000, not sure on the normal model. As long as those models have quattro and have been properly maintained to date, those are fair prices. I'd get the SLine, it looks a lot nicer and more unique with the lowered sport suspension, larger wheels, and trim package, than the normal A4s.

Try amazon.com or e-bay.
I have not had to look for an out of date owners manual for a while- but search for "owners manual used" on the internet.
Amazon might be the surest. But there might be one on e-bay.
One other tool is car-part.com- find a salvage yard that has one on the lot and find out if the owners manual is still with it.
Check the Audi site, it might be there in PDF format.

Ebay or maybe a junkyard if they have the car it could be in the glove.

Are you sure that isn't for the service manual? $150 is outrageous for an owner's manual but seems dead on for a service manual. For example, the MOST expensive Mercedes owner's manual is $35, and all since 2000 are free downloads on their website; whereas service manuals are $150 to $190. How did you manage to lose yours in the first place?
Regardless, simply contact customer service at Audi USA. They will send you a new one.
